Elevator Operator

Elevator Operator is a poem I wrote in 6th grade for fun. See what you think of it!

     I'm an elevator operator,
     Working on the job;
     I'm an elevator operator -
     Oh! Here comes a mob!
     An elevator operator
     Doesn't have much fun,
     Up and down and up and down
     And then the day is done.

     So then my boss, he finds me,
     Just a-sleeping on the job
     And then he yells and yells at me
     'Cause I'm a lazy slob;
     And I get up and yell at him
     And just to make it clear,
     I get on just right up to him
     And yell it in his ear:

     "I'm an elevator operator,
     Sleepin' on the job;
     I'm an elevator operator,
     And my name is Bob;
     An elevator operator
     Doesn't have much fun,
     Up and down and up and down
     And then the day is done!"
