What is Mario Family? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mario Family is not a standard game as we know it. It, in fact, is not a game at all: it is not playable, and you need special equipment to even use it. So what is Mario Family then? That is what this information FAQ is designed to answer. In 1978, Maruzen, an important Japanese sewing machine manufacturer, changed its name to Jaguar Sewing Machine Co. This eventually became Jaguar International Corportation. In 2000, Jaguar launched the first ever sewing machine to be operated by a Nintendo Gameboy: the JN-100. Another more recent model, the JN-2000, also works with a Gameboy. The way that these models work is that they receive instructions from the Gameboy, and with these instructions embroider special designs onto fabric. The game that Jaguar created for use with these sewing machines was called Mario Family. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- B.
